Mother's Day gifts - card organizers

I was browsing some of my favorite blogs last week and found this great tutorial to make a greeting card organizer here. (Thanks Tracy!!!) What a great idea for a gift for my mom and sister for Mother's Day - and really easy to create!

I used Tracy's word template for the monthly pages and printed off two sets. I scored them and folded and cut my patterned paper to 6x8.5". I only needed 12 pages of 12x12 paper to make 2 sets! I didn't follow her idea exactly as I didn't like leaving white space at the edge... so my patterned papers go all the way to the edge of the sheet.

Here's the pages once I got them all adhered:

I found two decorative address label books at a local thrift shop for a dollar each that are only 8.5" tall, and they even came with a matching storage box:

They aren't exactly MY style (okay, not my style at ALL), but I think my mom and sis will not mind them! :)

Then I didn't want to mess up punching the holes, as you can't use a 3 hole punch, so I made a quick template with a piece of scrap paper and then used my Crop-a-dile to punch the holes!

Voila! Easy peasy, and I had all of the supplies already except the binders.

Thanks for looking!

  1. Awesome!!! Just love how this came out! Your mom and sister are going to LOVE these. What a great gift. Love the little address books you found to fit these perfectly, too. Is that serendipity or what?!?!
