OWH sketch challenge 70

Sorry I am late to the party sketch challenge from OWH this week... did you know you could go from fine to feeling a little sick and fainting in less than 12 hours when you get dehydrated? Yeah, me neither!  I now have a lovely split lip from hitting my head on the tile floor when I fainted - another tip: LIE DOWN if you feel like you might faint. Anyhow, I'm pretty much recovered now. I think. My world is no longer spinning, so that's good.

I took some liberties with the sketch this week - I used a strip of ribbon horizontally and didn't make my circle quite as wide. I actually cut it in half and made two cards! I threw the first one together in about 10 minutes, which is generally not something I'd then share the results of on my blog - and liked it, so I used the other half and just changed the embellies a little.  Simple, but I think it's pretty. The circle is actually a slightly metallic gray, which is hard to see in the pic.

Stamp: Unity Stamp Co
Nesties with the Cuttlebug for the circle and scalloped circle
Offray chocolate brown ribbon
Paper from my stash
Pearl embellies from K&Co I think

Have a good week! Thanks for looking!

  1. Great card, Jen! Clever idea to cut the circle in half so you could make two of them! Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!

  2. I always feel that a sketch is just a starting point for your creative process, so tweaking and altering is always an option! I like that you made 2 cards by switching things a little, and that's a good thing!
That fall must have hurt :( Same thing happened to a friend of mine, but she hit her head on the counter top and then the tile floor. She wound up in ER and was not well for nearly a week with her head injury! Keep drinking that water and take care!

  4. Great job with the sketch! I think using the ribbon is a very creative approach. It makes it fun to see how everyone interprets the same sketch. Glad you didn't get hurt too badly Jen. :)
