Unity FWF 7/22 - lunchbox notes

My eldest is starting kindergarten in 4 (!!!!) weeks. I was talking to my sister about it, and she mentioned how she writes notes on her kid's lunchbags or tucks a note inside that they'll find during lunch. Of course, I think that's a FAB idea and of course I volunteered myself to make her some little note cards that she could use instead of just a Sharpie. :)

Her youngest kids are 8 and 11, and boys, so I have to be creative with things that aren't too childish or embarassing. I don't have boys, so I'm trying my best. LOL I thought this little guy was simple enough, and boyish with a nice deep orange:

Unity monkey stamp - I think I got him in a grab bag
Mandarin twine from the twinery, scrap of cardstock
I rounded and inked the edges, too.
3x3 card, the monkey is popped up on dimensionals

Be sure to stop back at the Unity blog for all the fun and to see everyone's projects! And don't forget to do some shopping in the Unity store... have you seen all the new releases? I have a HUGE wishlist. Christmas in July? LOL

Thanks so much for visiting!!!!!

  1. cute monkey!! I created some Halloween tags that were meant for goodie bags that didn't happen, but my son (in grade 1) loved them, so for a few weeks I would put one in his lunch box with a little note on the back - he thought they were great! and I keep meaning to make more little love notes.

  5. What a great idea. Especially since my soon-to-be kindergartner won't be able to read. I might have to make something like this for him!

  8. This is so adorable with that cute little monkey. I think you have nailed the colours for a boy's card.....boys are always so much harder than girls.
