Anyhow. We have a niece who is leaving in another week to go teach English in China for a year, and I thought I'd make a tag. I still don't have a gift for her.... what do you get someone who is going to China for a year? I don't know. But I have the tag ready. :)
Ippity's Shine, shine shine, some FUN My Mind's Eye paper I think - or maybe October afternoon? Not sure. Distress inks in Walnut stain, tea dye, and Weathered Wood (why that one is BLUE, I have no idea). |
The cord is copper (not purple - I don't know why the color looks so off) and I only pulled it to the side for the photo. It wasn't lying nicely at ALL. I'll tie it onto... well, whatever we end up giving her. :) Oooh, I do have an idea, come to think of it - a memory box from Paper Coterie! Hmmm. Off to browse in just a sec...
Now. I must be off to find a gift and also the Momento Ink pad that I suspect a little munchkin of stealing... darn kid took my favorite color! I already checked her hotspots and no luck yet...
Happy weekend! Thanks for visitng me today!
Jen
Hi Jen! This is a lovely tag for your niece!! Love the stamps you used. Having worked in China before(and not being able to speak Mandarin well), I'm thinking perhaps a phrase pocket book might be a practical gift ;) Hope your little one gets well soon..Take care!
