It's the first FWF of the new year! Yay! And honestly, I had a HUGE answer to prayer this week. I am praying that this is God's post-it note to my heart that this year will be a little smoother than last year. (I use post-it notes on everything. Maybe God does too.)
I took a LONG hiatus from the Unity KOM club last year but could NOT pass up December's kit. Um, nor January's. And lest you have noticed my spending freeze sidebar, I had to create 25 cards by the 15th to get to keep the KOM. Check and check... take that, stash! :)
So I played along with the January KOM sketch challenge using Dec. 2011's kit. OMG cute! I love love love the sentiments in this kit.
I used dp from Basic Grey's hopscotch collection. It reminds me of a patchwork quilt so I added some stitching and twine! The stitching was not intended to be a little wonky but hey, I call it my humility stitching. :) (Some quilters would intentionally make a mistake in a quilt and call that block a 'humility block.' No, I'm not a quilter. I wish I was, though!)
Thanks for visiting me today. Don't forget to hop back to the Unity blog for more inspiration and your chance to WIN free stamps! And please pass along a little encouragement in the spending freeze challenge - I have to keep the ball rolling if I want to keep February's kit!

Such a pretty card Jen! This is one of my favorite sentiments from the Dec Kit. I love the idea of your spending freeze too. This is something I should definitely consider given the amount of unused stash I have. Good luck on sticking to it.
