hey there, it's Sunday and time for another sketch from Operation Write Home! Be sure to play along this week as there's a prize from Doodle Pantry to win. :)
My DH's birthday is this week and I, as usual, don't have anything ready. So, I thought I'd use this sketch to make him a card. :)
Stamps are Unity Stamp Co; Basic Grey dp and random other stuff.
Since I've hit a 100 cards, my spending freeze is over. (Boy, is it OVER. LOL) I bought:
ATG tape (a necessity, though)
ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon - I am anticipating this package SO much!!
A very pretty vintage cowgirl-ish set from My Mind's Eye on Scrapbook Steals
Some bazzill cardstock (another necessity)
The new Imaginisce ribbon cutter!!!!!!
The Tim Holtz tiny attacher
And now, another spending freeze. I have to send a box in for the Mother's Day challenge by March 10 to Kris with a minimum of 100 cards - I have a start already, so this is not crazy talk - or the freeze continues until the end of Lent (which is Easter).
And speaking of Lent, I'm giving up baked goods. *hold me*
So, any encouragement is welcome. And please join me in my new challenge, if you are so inclined!!
Jen
Hubby will love this one, I'm sure of it. I love that sentiment. Bakes Goods?? Boy are you good. I just can't give up that one. I'll have to try your spending freeze self challenge though. I'm like a total addict. The more I KNOW I should not buy things, the more I shop. I justify every purchase by saying "I NEED that". LOL Have a good night.
ReplyDeleteBaked only? Like no baked potatoes? Just kidding. I know what you mean. Cute card for the DH.
ReplyDeleteI love the self control you have with your spending budget! Your DH's card is really cute too! Great pun!

ReplyDeleteI love this card. I have alot of card players in my family this would be perfect for them. Giving up baked goods would increase my praying.
