Reason #468 why you should keep your crafting space clean: When it feels impossibly hot and stifling, you open a window to catch the breeze only to realize that all of your papers are now on the floor!
Thank goodness for a great breeze today. And hooray for a quick crafting space clean-up! :)
This week's sketch at the Stars & Stamps blog is GREAT - I made three cards, though I'm only going to show you two as my favorite is going to be my bloghop card for Saturday. And speaking of the hop, be sure to come to my blog for some fabulous prizes!! (Sure, I'll name-drop... Unity. Lawn Fawn. Need I say more???)
Anyhow, here are my cards. This one is just for my stash, I have such a hard time making sympathy cards but I know I'll need one sooner or later. ETA: DH just came home and said we need TWO to send out. :(
I added loops instead of the long strips. They just worked better. :)
And this for my dad's birthday:
A great little fish (from CTMH) with some patriotic papers. I think he'll like it.
Thanks for visiting me today! I am SO GLAD you stopped by!
Jen
I love the 6 strand twine you used!
ReplyDeletegood variations on the sketch - I like the wide twine ribbon - adds a great masculine touch

ReplyDeleteYour sympathy card is beautiful. So sorry you need one! Love your card for your Dad.
ReplyDeleteSuper nice job! Sympathy cards are nevery easy to make. I usually make them as the need arises because they help me reflect on that person. TFS!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sympathy card. These are cards where we always need to have on hand. Thanks so much for your lovely comment. I will give it along go tomorrow. Out of sync today. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sympathy card! (The colors are just perfect for it.) And I agree with Berni that these are ones we need to keep on hand. So sorry you need two. The fish is a super guy card, and coincidentally, I used a lawn fawn stamp on my challenge card this week. LOVE them!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Jen. I'm glad you liked the sketch! I think I'm going to use it for my bloghop card too :) Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!
