The challenge over at the Stars & Stamps blog today is to make AnyHero cards for our deployed service people. Recently I had the (not terribly original but new to me) idea to make more feminine anyhero notes rather than just patriotic ones. I've been working on this past sunday's sketch (LOVE!) and went with that to make a feminine Anyhero card:
Paper: MME Stamp: Ali Edwards for Technique Tuesday
That is so very pretty! One of the soldiers we've "adopted" through Soldiers' Angels was a woman and since I have a writer friend who's also an Army captain and mom, I've been vowing to make some feminine Any Hero cards. Thanks for the inspiration!
This is beautiful, Jen!!! So soft and feminine! I think that it is a fabulous idea to include color combinations like this! It has a homespun feel with the fantastic mix of papers and I am sure that will warm a soldier's heart :)
Gorgeous! Love that sentiment.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, great way to use this week's sketch too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing in our OWH Midweek Throwdown challenge :)
That's a great sentiment for this hero card! Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI've yet to make an AnyHero card that's not red, white, and blue. I suppose it's time to take the plunge. Awesome sentiment for this card, too. :)

ReplyDeleteThe papers you used are so pretty, and I LOVE that stamp!! I like the little scallop peeking from behind the sentiment. This card is fantastic!
