GIU - day 3

Oh my goodness, Wednesday already?? Jeez Louise. We have two holiday celebrations this weekend, plus some swimming lessons and sledding planned (well, as long as the weather cooperates). Must finish all of the things!! Plus we are supposed to get 4-8 inches of snow tonight. Have I mentioned that my BIL takes my daughter to school in the morning with his sons? And how very GLAD of that I am in the winter??

Today's card is a masculine love card I made, again for Operation Write Home. It's so easy to make pretty, flowery cards in pink and purple but male cards are much tougher. I really like how this one turned out:

Unity KOM Dec 2011 and Jan. 2012
My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose dp
Argyle embossing folder, Twinery twine
lots and lots of distress ink :)

Don't forget to leave a comment before you go - I'll chose two winners this weekend, one will get 2 Itty Bitty's from Unity and one will get some random Unity stamps from me!

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Jen

  1. Now I have the opposite problem. I have a ton of guys so my stamps and paper tend to go toward the "guy theme", I'm out numbered 3 to 1. Special projects are for the girls and are harder for me. Love the colors one this card.

  2. It is harder to come up with a masculine card, at least for me anyway, but you did a wonderful job. It is the perfect "guy" card. I hope you get everything accomplished that you have planned for the weekend. I'm sure you will as you are quite the go-getter!!!
    Stay safe in the snow.

  3. Great paper choices for your guy card! It's a challenge for me also to make cards for men. I have an easier time with feminine colors and frills.

  4. I love how you put the ticket in the jar. I have a couple of jar stamps, but I struggle with what to fill them with. This is brillian, in my opinion! Very nice.

  5. Great card. I love that you make so many OWH cards. My BIL is deployed in Afghanistan and I have sent him many cards to use and I know he really appreciates them. I'm sure your recipients do as well!
