Hey there! Is it Tuesday already?? Wow. The new year is off to a great start here - Christmas break was super rejuvenating, and though the flu is making the rounds we've been healthy enough. I'm not going to complain!!
I finally got a chance to play along on sketch 154 from Operation Write Home. I'd like to offer a great, big welcome to Marlene, the new "sketch lady!" :) My first attempt was not so hot, but I tried again and I like the end result:
Authentique paper HERO ARTS/OWH sentiment
Nesties labels 9
Momento London Fog ink; Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet ink |
I made a lightbox from Paula's tutorial over at the Stars & Stamps blog today. I need better lighting yet, but wow - what a difference! My box has a spot right on top of my printer, LOL. What can I say? I'm a little crunched for space in here.
The Nesties shape is my blog win from Krystil's blog on New Year's. :) I LOVE these new labels... thank you, Krystil!
I found a great local stamping resource - Lighthouse Books & Gifts in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. If you are anywhere near or traveling through, be sure to stop in and check it out. They have a truly awesome selection of stamps, dies, inks, and embossing folders. They even carry a bunch of 6x6 pads, and I know I"m not the only paper addict out there. :)
Thanks for visiting me today!
Jen
Yay! Nice card. I love the floral paper. I haven't had a chance to play with my goodies. Still cleaning. :(
ReplyDeletePretty, pretty. Those labels match the feel of the papers quite well. The light box made a nice difference in your photo; I'm sure an additional light will really make the photos pop!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors Jen and I like the die cut you used ... It frames the sentiment so nicely! Glad that the light box info. helped too :)
ReplyDeleteNot only is the card great with that pretty sentiment, I love your new avatar with that great smile :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jen! I love YOUR card with that gorgeous DP! Thanks for visiting my blog; to answer your question, the border on the sentiment is part of the Stampabilities stamp. It's an awesome set of 3; I'll try to find the name of it for you.
ReplyDeleteJen, this card is so pretty. I especially like the distressing with the pinky ink. I am new to distressing and can't seem to get it right. I bought several Tim Holtz' Distress inks so I'll keep trying :)
ReplyDeleteJen, your card is gorgeous! You've used such soft colors and those are my favorites. I'm a big fan of Authentique but I haven't seen that paper yet. I love what you've done with the center element. The sentiment on the die cut is perfect. Thanks for playing!
ReplyDeletePS... thanks also for the welcome shout out. :)
Super cute!
