It's Friday! Don't you just love a Friday? There's something exciting about it. :)
Part of the reason I love Fridays is Unity's Friends with Flair link up; those of you who visit my blog often know my extensive Unity collection..... what can I say? I have good taste. :)
Awhile back I was introduced to a triple-time stamping technique, which is kind of fun (you can see another example here). Recently another Operation Write Home card maker, Jan, tried the technique but used patterned paper. Yeah, I have a LOT of paper to use up, so I saw an opportunity.
Simple, yes, but pretty cute, right?

I made some of these into card kits for a church event my mother-in-law hosted recently to make cards for our parish needs and also OWH. The grouchypants sitting next to me referred to this sentiment as "heavy" and how she was "done with all that." What's a life without dreams? Sure, there are times in life when your dreams get scaled back or they change, or sometimes you must sacrifice and put someone else's dreams before yours. I wasn't sure what to say aloud... Ms. Grouchypants needs to dream a little, so I just said a quick (silent!) prayer for her.
Thanks for visiting me today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. :) Don't forget, Unity is having a sale and I have quite a few things for sale on my page ^^^ there, too.
Jen
This is great -- and it gives me an idea! Love when that happens! Ms GrouchyPants needs dreams more than anyone, I'm guessing. And probably prayers, too. You did will to hold your tongue and send up prayers instead. Your a wise woman. Stay warm, my fellow Wisconsinite. We're at -15 right now. But, I have the day off!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tripple layered look. Great technique with a beautiful framed sentiment!
ReplyDeleteCute card, and I love the sentiment!
ReplyDeleteThis is really sweet, Jen. I have tons of paper to use as well. I just can't seem to resist a new sheet/pack of designer paper! This is a great way to use some of my stash. TFS!
ReplyDeletePS> Hope you warm up! Except that usually means that the cold moves to my home in Alaska. LOL!
Hi Jen, this is such a sweet card!! Love the layered look and the sentiment is sweet.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely card. I like the layering on the card.
ReplyDeleteLove this technique! Super cute!
ReplyDeleteSuch a happy card!! Great bright flowers for the background.
ReplyDeleteLove your card Jen! So very cheerful, unlike Ms. GrouchyPants! LOL! Good for you holding your tongue and saying a prayer instead. Not sure I'd be able to do that! LOL!
ReplyDeleteSimple & lovely! LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Love the triple stamp technique....and love how you used patterned paper instead!!
ReplyDeleteTwo words... Simply Beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet card. And it totally blows to be encountered by such negativity.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I've been my share of air sucker! Especially when I had two teenage girls in their teens and early college years.
BUT that is past...(*silent yay* to how awesome both girls are now)
LOVE LOVE LOVE this technique. It is so fun.
Very cute card. I love the paper too!
ReplyDeleteOH PS JEN...

ReplyDeleteCool card...great technique....I think my reply to ms grouchypants would of been a simple "Yes, I can tell"...lol!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great inspiration you have given me! I have never thought of just using a sentiment on a card without pairing it with an image or some sort of embellishment but I LOVE what you have done here. I have oodles and oodles of stockpiled patterned paper and some gorgeous Unity sentiment stamps so I am going to get right to it! Thanks so much!!
ReplyDeleteGreat sentiment, love the colors, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat card! What a nice sentiment!
ReplyDeleteThe card is fabulous!

ReplyDeleteCute, love all the layers! Keep dreaming...unfortunately we can't make anyone else do it!! :) Prayer is the best!
ReplyDeleteWow, just wow. That poor woman - what a sad person :(
ReplyDeleteI happen to love the bright cheeriness of your card - and your loving spirit to pray for someone who must be in a lot of pain.
