OWH sketch 193

Time for another Operation Write Home sketch - did you hop yesterday for the World Cardmaking Day blog hop? I did, though I only made it about 2/3 of the way through the hop. I can finish off the rest today. There's so many great cards! If you didn't see my card, be sure to scroll down to the next post (there's blog candy!).

Today's sketch is number 193. I really like this sketch! And since my eldest has been sick this weekend, no Mass for me today. :/ She went to bed still feeling really sick but woke up chipper and happy, which is wonderful, but I don't want her to over-do. And heaven forbid we share germs... no other family wants what she had! :(

These were my first efforts. The ribbon tab card was #2... my seven year old decimated my bling stash the other day, and I wasn't liking what bling I had to add on the left side, so I added ribbon tabs.

Then I decided to make a couple more changes, and I really really really liked the end result. See what you think. The left card was #3 and the right was the final card, which is my favorite of all of them.

And I think this is my last Scrapfest photo: Jillibean Soup class cards

Thanks for visiting me today! Remember Sandy is asking for holiday cards to arrive by October 15 if possible. I already sent a bunch and I'll be sending my final batch next week! Then on to Valentine's Day. :)

  2. What a wonderful array of cards you've created! I too love those ribbon tabs in place of bling! My favorite is the Season's Greetings card with the flag sentiment and tiny trees! Great job on all!

  4. I have the same 6x6 pad and you reminded me how cute the paper is! I love all your cards - the snowmen are my fave. Take care of your little one and have a happy weekend (what's left of it!)

  7. I really like the ribbon flags, and my favorite your last card as well. I'm seeing so many cute Christmas cards lately. Maybe I should get started on mine. Bummer about your daughter being sick. It's going around here also.

  9. It looks like your ribbon tabs are a hit! I love them too. I think I'm going to pick the snowmen with the green ribbon tabs as my favorite - but they're all adorable.
