I was working on Father's Day cards today, so this timely challenge for one of my favorite charities was pretty easy! If you haven't heard of Operation Write Home, click here to learn more. They provide greeting cards for our overseas service people to send home to their families. I make way too many cards to use all for our families anyway, so I'm happy to send them a box every month!
The challenge was to use a combination of brown and blue:
The stamp set is Verve's Father Figure, and I distressed the blue and brown edges using my trusty nail file. I also inked the brown piece edges with SU! chocolate chip ink and the retro sales sheet paper with SU! almost navy ink. The retro paper is from Die Cuts with a View - the mod/retro stack. I love those papers!
I like the spare, clean and simple look of your card. Works so well for a Father's Day card.
