Bunny Hop Blog Hop Day!!

It's finally time for the Hop! It doesn't feel anything like spring yet here in Wisconsin with 20 degree weather and heaps of snow, but we've had sunshine the last few days and that makes such a huge difference! When it's gloomy and Mom gets gloomy, watch out! LOL

A quick reminder, if you are making cards to send in to OWH - there are a couple of deadlines quickly approaching:
March 18 - Easter cards
March 31- Mother's Day

As always, if you are running late in mailing your box (I'm sure I've ***cough cough*** never had one of those moments), you can make your cards spring-like or bright and feminine and omit the "happy Easter" or "happy Mother's Day" sentiment, so they could still be used even if they don't arrive to a shipper in time to be mailed overseas for that holiday!  And if you need a little inspiration, I love checking out the OWH card gallery: http://operationwritehome.org/cards.html

I don't have any bunny stamps, so I went with birds. Here in central Wisconsin, they are definately a sign of spring! (I have seen bunnies running through the snow. No robins yet, though!) I know not everyone will think this color combination is particularly spring-y, but I like it. :)

Here's another card I made for a friend's birthday this week. This stamp is one of my favorite flower stamps, from Unity Stamp Co. I reach for it all the time! I love the colors in this card.

    Terrific cards and GREAT advice about avoiding specific holidays if you;d rather not have to worry about making critical deadlines. It has saved me a frazzled lat minute trip to the PO many a time!

    Love the flower cards! Thanks for sharing! My favorite thing to embellish with at the moment (it changes all the time) is the Viva Decor Pearl Pens, or Liquid Pearls....same effect, but the Viva pens tend to keep their pearl shape better!

    I love both of your cards but I read further down on your blog. I must say, I love your journals and what you are doing with them.     My favorite card embellishment would be a die cut... If that's not considered an embellishment, then it would have to be BLING (like sticky gems) or ribbon!! :)

    I agree, birds are the first sign of spring! I live in MN (your neighbor) and robins are usually the first birds seen or heard. Cute image!

    Love all of the cards...spring cards don't have to have a bunny on it! All of yours are great...the colors, layouts and stamping! I love bling, butI try to tone it down some for OWH cards. Thanks for supporting OWH!
