OWH Sketch challenge 66

I'm late to the party this week... with Easter on Sunday and then my husband leaving on a business trip yesterday, life has been a little wild! My to-do list seems to be a mile long these days, and with no one around to help corral the little rugrats, I'm not getting a lot done!

This was a tough sketch challenge. I am glad I waited until today to tackle it, though, because my new Nesties (labels 8!) came in the mail today. I feel sorry for the mail carrier - yesterday was sunny and 65 (we managed to wash and hang outside FOUR loads of laundry yesterday, even with the trip to the airport) and today is windy and cold, and raining steadily. They say snow's expected once the temps drop tonight. What did I wash yesterday? Winter gear! When will I ever learn??? Wash the winter stuff in June so I don't have to wash it a gazillion times.

Anyhow, I went for bright and cheerful:

Card recipe:
All K&company DP from the scrap bin
SU ribbon
Nesties 8 with the SU sentiment, stamped in Momento Chocolate Brown ink

Aaaaaaand check out my new ribbon-tying fork:

This fork means business. No ribbon will escape! :) ETA: I found it at a local thrift shop. I saw one on a Youtube fork-tying tutorial video and went looking. It was only 65 cents! It's really quite big, and it works very well - easier, IMO, than my smaller serving fork.

Thanks for looking! Play along here at the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps blog!

  2. Your card is very pretty! I love how you tucked the sentiment panel into the ribbon - great look!
And that fork!?! Hilarious! You'd certainly need a big mouth to feed yourself with that one, so making bows seems like a better use for that wide angle tool! LOL

  3. Love your card. Is it very bright and cherry. Love all the papers. That sentiment is one of my very favorites, especially for the Heroes. Where did you find that fork? I NEED one. I'm not crazy about the one I am using.
