Unity FWF - April 29

Good Morning! It's finally Friday and am I GLAD it is! My DH has been out of town on business all week... we usually have *something* happen while he is gone and this time it was a stomach bug. YUCK! Everyone is finally well and we are more than ready for Daddy to be back home. :)
I made this card with the Key to Joy store kit. I LOVE this kit and reach for it often - it's really one of my go-to kits for the sentiments and the images! I tried something new and stitched the pleated ribbon on this card. Any tips for doing this without adhering it first? I was worried about gunking up my machine, so I didn't adhere it at all. It turned out much better than I thought it would! LOL

Card recipe:
Unity set - Key to Joy (store kit)
Momento Chocolate Brown ink
kraft and cardstock from the scrap bin
American Crafts ribbon
Stampin Up edge punch

I had to decorate the inside as I slightly erred on my front dimensions and didn't have room for the sentiment. Oops!!!! I think most of my cards go something like, "well, I had to fudge this part..."

You still have one more day to sign up for the Unity KOM. Just visit the Unity store!

Thanks for looking!

Jen

  6. This is beautiful, Jen! Blue and brown are one of my favourite pairings. I love how the butterflies are echoed on both sides of the card. I use Scor-Tape or my regular adhesive runner and it never leaves residue on my needle. You can always use Goo Gone or some other product to clean your needle once you're done. :) I hope you're all recovered from the stomach bug!
