Unity Sept. 2011 KOM sketch - only took 3 tries!

Okay, so I am the youngest of 3 in my family... BUT I am the youngest by 9 years, so I grew up very much like an only child as my sibs graduated and left when I was just in elementary school. So I'm not carefree and wild... I'm the list-maker, rule-follower, type A girlie.
And yet... I created my sketch card and I totally didn't follow the rules and use KOM stamps! Ooops. Okay, so first the card that follows the rules:

Stamps: Unity May 2010 KOM
papers: my minds eye and unknown from my favorite Ippity chick! :)
Button from stash, Momento rich cocoa ink, twinery twine

My husband I will celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary in three weeks. I wanted to make an anniversary card... do you think it's too feminine? I kept the flower portion small and went with the strategically placed button (realized too late that that oval had a slightly chopped off end!). I like how it turned out. I hope he likes it!

And before I made that card, I was using my new Halloween "That's Creepy" Ippity set from my favorite Ippity chick, Jen (great name, huh??!! - you can find her here) to make a couple of Halloween cards for my goddaughter and my DH's godson.  I made 2, but this one was my favorite:

Twine from the Twinery, Momento tuxedo black, all other random stash stuff

Thanks for looking!! you have just a few short hours to play along here!! I am cutting it close today!

  2. These are great cards! The first looks like a fine anniversary card to me, and I love how your Hallowe'en card turned out, even if it can't qualify for the challenge!

  3. Great cards, Jen! I do NOT think the first one is to girly for your husband. Also, I did the same thing with making a card for the challenge that didn't use KOM stamps:)
