OWH - mwt thinking of you with Jillibean soup

Happy half-way day! :)

Today was 'bounce class' (gymnastics) for my two year old. She was so excited this morning that I pulled up to her sister's school and church for morning Mass and she said, "uh, mama? This bounce class?"  Guess the "Mass first, bounce class after" reminders didn't stick so well! :)

Today's mid-week throwdown challenge at Operation Write Home is thinking of you cards. These are my favorites to make, so I hit the sketches link and chose two. This one I don't remember doing, but maybe I did - this was sketch 78:
Jillibean soup blossom soup papers and felt flowers
Lawn Fawn Jessie's ABCs
I didn't love it - I think I should've rounded the two right edges, not the top edges (darn it!) so I went with one of my favorite sketches of all time, #70:
Jillibean Soup apple cheddar soup papers
Lawn Fawn Jessie's ABC's
Ahhh, much better. :) Thanks for visiting me today!

  1. The first card is really pretty, and I wonder if you might like it more if you rounded the bottom corners of the card? The flowers are pretty, and the 2nd card is a great sketch to use! Great job on both!

  3. Two very nice cards that will be loved by their recipients, I'm sure. I was going to say the same thing Carol did about the first card. I know quite often I round two corners and it just doesn't do it for me, so I go ahead and round the other two and it changes the whole look of the card. Having said that, I really do like that card as is. Your second card is just as charming. That is a great sketch and you worked it beautifully.

  4. Really pretty and cheery cards Jen. I like the top corners rounded on the 1st one. The 2nd one is my favorite, love that sketch and the orange color.

  5. Hey Jen! Thanks for linking this up in the Moxie Fab World. Just a head's up--to be eligible for the prize, you need to add this to the World Card Making Day Gallery and add that URL to Mr. Linky. Thanks!
