Hey there!
It's sketch day over at the Operation Write Home blog - we're up to #145! I love these sketches but this one took me a couple of tries to get something I liked. Grrrrr. I was hoping my 35-minute craft space clean on Friday night would have inspired me - a clean craft space usually does - but it was just not working. For fun, here's all of my attempts. I'll let you decide which you like the most. :)
This was attempt #1:
Unity Stamp Co snowman and sentiment (both itty bitty's) MME papers |
Did not like what I attempted to do and I thought the background was too busy, so then I went for this:
MME papers Paper Smooches sentiment |
Eh. Still just ok, so I went for #3, which is by far my favorite of the bunch:
MME papers Unity Stamp Co sentiment |
And then I asked my husband, who really loved attempt #1. Go figure. LOL
Thanks for visiting me today! :)
Jen
I like them all and can't choose a favorite, but I love the sentiment on #2!
ReplyDeleteLike Carol, I can't pick a favorite. I think they are all great as will the recipients. I really like both sentiments also.
ReplyDeleteVery cute cards and wonderful sentiments!
ReplyDeleteI like them all, too! Each has its own special charm and anyone would be thrilled to receive them. I'm not surprised that your husband liked the snowman. I've noticed when I send my husband out to buy cards, he's drawn to funny ones that nine year old boys might choose. LOL
ReplyDeleteI like them all, and I agree with you. The scale of the background paper on the first one is a little off. BUT - I would not have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out. We are way too critical of ourselves!!!! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteI like the image in the first one. I agree the overall design of number three catches your eye the most.
ReplyDeleteThese are all fantastic Jen, and I love to get any of them. For me, I really go for the third card. Love those colors, and I think the background really sets off the candy paper and sentiment.
ReplyDeletecute cards.
ReplyDeleteAll are awesome cards...you are being way to hard on yourself, but hey you made three great cards! Card 1 works for me because the image is black and white and larger than the snowmen on the dp ...the striped scalloped border really frames the image and the sentiment grounds it. Have fun...tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteOk, Jen, I can't decide between 2 and 3 so I declare them all cute :) Thanks for joining us in this week's Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge!
ReplyDeleteJen, all of your cards are so cute! The papers are so whimsical - the little snowmen inside the candy just make me smile. I think all three cards are winners.
