Hello there on this snowy Sunday! We got sleet, some tiny hail, and lots of snow today. I'm headed out to shovel in just a sec; I put my girls to bed a few minutes ago and my oldest asked yet again if tomorrow will be a snow day. I don't think so, but you just never know! :)
Today is sketch day, both at Operation Write Home and the Paper Players. First up sketch 157 from The Stars and Stamps blog:
Basic Grey Hopscotch papers Ocean Tides (PTI) and Dark Chocolate (Gina K) cardstock unknown stamp set; glossy accents, foam tape Divine Swirl embossing folder, Nesties labels 18 |
And then a new challenge for me, over at the Paper Players blog. I think I will become a regular there, I like their challenges a lot!! :) This is sketch 130:
Cosmo Cricket material girl papers Gina K dark chocolate cardstock Stamp: Unity Stamp Co Sizzix button die, Twinery twine, We R sew stamper |
That's all for me - gotta go shovel. :) See you later this week and thanks so much for visiting me today!
Jen
Love these color combos so much! But how can you think of ice cream when it's so cold, haha? Probably because it's such a great stamp! Glad to see the weather doesn't have you down... you've almost inspired me to wish for some here. I'm on Long Island and we've only gotten about an inch in the past few weeks, but the temps have been steady around 25, which we are not used to! Brrr! Anywho, stay warm and thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh, so pretty! I love the sweet icecream cone!
ReplyDeleteThey're both great cards Jen, and with a cherry on top, you can't go wrong :)
ReplyDeleteTwi great cards...really love the embossing diecuts on the first. I am a Cosmo girl/quilter at heart so I adore your second! tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are both such cute cards, Jen! I love the cheerful patterned papers you used. The Glossy Accents you used on the cherry is perfect! Love the scallops and frames, too. The spool on the second card is adorable...every time I see you use Unity, I want to get my stamps out. :)
ReplyDeleteOOooooo! Love the ice cream cone! You are rockin' those nesties friend! Love it :)
ReplyDeleteyum- ice cream! Ice cream is perfect in ANY weather! I like your papers, colors and the dies! And I like how you turned the die on the next card- totally different look!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I love the spool of thread, and your faux stitching and bits of fabric are the perfect accompaniment. Thanks for sharing your creation with The Paper Players, Jen!
ReplyDeleteJen, I just love your cute sewing-themed card! Adorable! Thanks for playing with the Paper Players this week! So glad you joined us...hope you come back often!

ReplyDeleteSuper cute cards Jen. Love the ice cream cone and how you changed up the sketch by using shaped nesties. [I had a hot fudge sundae last night. ha!] Love the faux stitching on the second one. Thanks for playing this week at OWH!
ReplyDeleteJen, love the colors and the fact that you turned the card on the vertical. Perfect for the DSP and the focal image. So glad you found us and so glad you joined us this week
