Unity 1/11/13 FWF; a new light box, and goals for 2013!

Happy New Year! I hope that 2013 is finding you well so far. :) I have had more energy than I've had in a long time - more sleep will do that to you, I hear - and I'm accomplishing lots of tasks that have been neglected for too long.

It's Friday and time for Friends with Flair over at the Unity blog. You could win free stamps from linking up and commenting, and the projects are always awesome, so be sure to hop back to the Unity blog to check it all out. :) There's a big sale, as well, to celebrate Angela's birthday! I created a "for sale" page too, up ^^^ there. :)

Here is my card, which leads me to one of my goals for 2013:

Authentique dp; PTI ripe avacado, Gina K ivory card stock
SU red riding hood pleated ribbon
Nesties labels 18; Unity's Itty Bitty "my strength & song, Lord"
Corner Chomper, SU ruby red ink, Tim Holtz antique linen ink

My theme (not resolution!) is to do more with less in 2013. Less stuff, less weight slowing me down, less pointless obligations, less guilt over things that aren't truly important.  Less lets you love what you have and do even more, I think.

One of my goals for 2013 is to make 5 holiday cards a month for Operation Write Home. Last year I started doing this in March and by October (the mailing date for Christmas cards), I had a decent sized pile ready to send.

Another goal is to be a better blogger, using a light box to photograph photos and watermarking everything. I know, I know, I'm behind the times. This tutorial was great for the light box. I even found a clip on light at Goodwill today and bought a $$$ light bulb, but I think I bought the wrong kind as my photos were turning very yellow. Grrrr!! Total cost: $13, not including replacing the light bulb. Still not bad, and it took mere minutes to put together!

Have a good weekend,
Jen
