You know what? Spring has FINALLY arrived. The past two days have been gloriously warm and sunny, I've even taken our beginning sprouts for our container garden outside to get some sun. It's amazing. The girls played outside yesterday - and ate outside - 2 snacks and lunch - for about 6 hours until I told them they had to go in for supper and baths. No one wanted to go inside!
MME everyday flair dp Lizzie Anne Designs ballerina kraft paper, random gems ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon |
I had this ballerina cut and colored (I did add some sparkles to her crown; sealed with glossy accents!), so I just found some coordinating papers and ribbon and it all fell together easy peasy. I think this card took less than 5 minutes to put together. Now, the next card I make will likely take 2 hours... :)
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Jen
She's such a cute image, and I love those wonderful dsp's you chose to use! I love the sparkly crown too - CUTE!
ReplyDeleteLove your little ballerina! And those patterned papers go so well with it. Hope you and your girls get some more sun today to play in.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice when things just fall into place like this card did for you? She is a darling image and colored so nicely. That is a nice grouping of papers you went with also. My card making days are like yours, some cards five minutes other 2 days.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorably cute card Jen. Love the ballerina and your choice of papers. Love it when a card just about makes itself. Thanks for playing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love love love the paper!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute cute and a perfect take on this week's sketch!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!!
Very cute ballerina!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo!!! It wasn't as nice here today. :( I wish it was! Then again, I got to stay inside and make a bunch of cards too. So, yay! I love yours!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your color combinations and the cute ballerina! That is incredible that it took you only 5 minutes- it is a winner!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear that I am not the only one who can spend 2 hours on one card, and 5 minutes on the next! I would have thought this was a 2 hour card, since the elements work together so beautifully!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear this card went together so well. I had the same experience with the sketch. Love your bright colors with that cute ballerina.
ReplyDeleteThis turned out super cute Jen! Glad the ladies had a blast outside! Yay for Spring!
ReplyDeleteThis is too, too cute for words! I can't decide whether I like the papers best or that darling ballerina! I guess all because you put it together so perfectly! What fun and what a smile that's going to bring to some little girl! It's trying to be spring here, in the Pacific Northwest, too. (But the one day we had sun ALL day, I complained it was too bright, lol)
ReplyDeleteOh, how sweet! Some little ballerina is going to be thrilled to receive this. Great job!
ReplyDeleteSimply adorable! Awesome paper mix! tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, Jen! Love the ballerina!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little ballerina! Adorable card.
ReplyDeleteThat little ballerina is SOOOO CUTE! I like the way you used orange to offset the colors, it really brought out the other colors on the paper! It's nice when a card comes together quickly.
